The theatre has concessions.
Topdog/Underdog, the 2002 Pulitzer Prize Winning Play for Drama by Suzan-Lori Parks, is a darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity which tells the story of two brothers, Lincoln and Booth, names given to them as a joke by their father. Haunted by the past and their obsession with the street con game, three-card monte, the brothers come to learn the true nature of their history.
This 99 Seat premiere of Topdog has received the following endorsements:
"M.D. is bringing an important piece of theater writing back to the Los Angeles community. It's lively, side-show haunting and with word-smithing to make your spine tingle. Suzan-Lori Parks' and her play Topdog/Underdog speak to important issues for LA for sure. Go M.D.!" - Bill Pullman (Film and Broadway Theater Star)
"Having known Mike (M.D. Walton) for years and being aware of his stellar work...this is a show that I am really looking forward to seeing. You should be, as well!" - Michael Ritchie (Artistic Director, Center Theater Group
