Displays of Affection:
two one act plays
…exploring the ties that blind us…
What happens in a relationship when the very things that drew you together now send you flying apart? In Displays of Affection, two one acts explore the ties and bonds of a fraying marriage.
In Carnality, by Mark Loewenstern, a contentious couple is held together by a powerful sexual connection from which they cannot break free.
In Riches, by Pulitzer Prize finalist, Lee Blessing, a couple celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary experience a communication breakdown that takes them to an extreme climax of another kind.
Directed by Matt Kirkwood and starring Michael Dempsey (Boston Legal), Zach Dulli (Bunbury), Marypat Farrell (Weeds) and Irene White (Carpoolers).
